Meet Ember (aka Ears).- a lovable calico beauty is looking for a forever home in ten Netherlands.

Ember’s rescue story began as part of a Trap–Neuter–Release program, but Ember had other plans. Instead of hiding or keeping her distance like a typical street cat, she danced around the feet of her rescuer, demanding attention and very clearly asking to be picked up for a cuddle. From the moment she arrived at the clinic, it was obvious Ember wasn’t your average stray — confident, friendly, and full of charm, she won the hearts of everyone she met.

Sadly, Ember’s past hasn’t been without cruelty. At some point in her life, someone had cut her ears with scissors, trying to make them appear smaller and rounder. Once she had healed from her spay surgery, it was decided that releasing her back to the streets would put her at risk of further harm. So instead, Ember found a temporary home with her rescuer — and she has been proving every day that she was made for love, not survival.

Nicknamed “Ears” at home because of her adorable tiny ear shape, Ember is a bundle of personality. She adores food, has a brilliant appetite, and isn’t shy about expressing her opinion when dinner is late. Her voice is unmistakable — deep and raspy, almost as if she’s spent a few too many years smoking behind a jazz bar. She will happily chat with you when you come home, when she’s excited, and when she simply wants the world to know she has arrived.

Ember is also wonderfully easy to handle — a true “squish ball” who is very happy to be picked up, carried around, and snuggled. She melts into cuddles, rewards affection with a very cute little purr, and clearly enjoys close human contact. She is excellent at going into her cat box for journeys (video proof available on request), making her a very easy and well-mannered companion.

She loves toys — especially her fuzzy little monster and feathered ball that she enthusiastically bats around the house — and she’s learning all about wand toys too. She’s a fan of zoomies, exploring, scratching posts, and being the curious observer of all things human. She enjoys the company of other cats but does like to play a bit rough and is naturally a touch bossy, so she would be happiest as an only cat, or living with a very cat-savvy companion who appreciates a strong female lead.

If you’re searching for a cat who is quirky, affectionate, endlessly entertaining, and fully aware that she is the main character, then Ember is your girl.

She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Her adoption fee is €280, which goes towards covering a portion of her vet and relocation costs from Bahrain. The fee is only due upon his arrival to your home.
