Rehab & Rehome
Rescat was founded in October 2019 when a group of rescuers had to urgently take in 68 cats from a hoarder in Manama. After this massive project, which resulted in the rehabilitation and rehoming of 35 cats abroad, Rescat built up fostering, logistics and fundraising teams to assist unwanted cats across the Island of Bahrain.
Besides caring for our own rescues, Rescat collaborates with many individuals to rehabilitate their rescue cats and rehome them both locally and internationally.
Unlike other rescue groups in Bahrain, a significant part of Rescat’s work gets done abroad thanks to our network of adopters, volunteers, and fosters in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, and Spain.
