Meet Saint Nicolas – A Big Softie Looking for His Forever Home in the Netherlands.

Saint Nicolas was found wandering the streets of Bahrain on a cold, rainy night just before Christmas 2025, which is how he got his festive name. He appeared at the gate of his rescuer’s home, and it was immediately clear that he had once belonged to someone. This handsome long-haired boy was underweight, suffering from a respiratory infection, dirty, and his beautiful coat was badly neglected. He looked heartbroken, as though he had been abandoned and left to fend for himself in the cold and rain.

Thankfully, Saint Nicolas was given a second chance. Today, he is healthy, thriving, and has regained both his confidence and his love for life.

Saint Nicolas is a confident, easy-going gentleman with a big heart to match his big, fluffy frame. With his long blond-and-white coat and striking amber eyes, he is an incredibly handsome boy. His wonderful personality shines just as brightly as his looks. Friendly, gentle, and delightfully chatty, he loves “talking” to his people and is happiest when he’s being cuddled, fussed over, or enjoying an interactive play session with his favourite humans.

A true foodie at heart, Saint Nicolas gets excited whenever mealtime arrives—whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or the promise of a tasty snack. He also enjoys nibbling on fresh cat grass, loves a little catnip, and can never resist crunchy treats.

As a long-haired cat, he will need regular grooming to keep his luxurious coat in excellent condition. Routine brushing, the occasional wipe around his face when needed, and periodic professional grooming will keep him comfortable, healthy, and looking his very best.

Saint Nicolas currently lives in a multi-cat household, but he has made it clear that he would much rather have his humans all to himself. He tends to be quite dominant with other cats and often chases them away if they come too close to his favourite people. For this reason, we believe he will thrive best as the only pet in the home, where he can enjoy all the love and attention without needing to share.

Saint Nicolas has been living as an indoor-only cat and is looking for a home where he can continue to live safely indoors. Access to a fully cat-proof balcony or secure garden would be a wonderful bonus, allowing him to enjoy the fresh air and watch the world go by while staying safe.

He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. St. Nicholas is currently in Bahrain and ready to travel as soon as home is found for him.

His adoption fee is €275 which will goes towards covering small parts of his relocation costs to the Netherlands. This is only due once He arrives to your home.
